, marking a full group comeback after nine months.
Consisting of nine members selected from Mnet's 'Idol School,' fromis_9 made a glamorous debut last year through the pre-debut single 'Glass Shoes' at Mnet's year-end awards ceremony. Having grown steadily through albums such as [To. Heart] and [The Promise], fromis_9 showcases the fruits of the past year and a transformation into a new image through this release.
The album was named [LOVE BOMB] to signify that the group has reunited as a full nine-member team, following the addition of Jang Gyuri, who was unable to participate in the previous album due to her appearance on . Furthermore, it serves as a gift-like album from fromis_9 to the fans who have waited until now. To add to the special nature of the release, the single includes a total of five tracks: the title track 'LOVE BOMB,' new songs 'DANCING QUEEN' and '물들어' (Colored), as well as re-recorded versions of previous title tracks 'DKDK' and '22nd Century Girl' featuring the voices of all nine members.
In particular, the title track 'LOVE BOMB' captures the excitement and fluttering heart of meeting a loved one through a popping melody and unique lyrics. While fromis_9 previously expressed their fluttering feelings for someone they liked privately and secretly, this time they show a more proactive side, as if detonating a bomb to reach that person's heart, making fans look forward to a changed fromis_9. Accordingly, the group appears brighter, more cheerful, and more proactive in honor of their first anniversary.
Additionally, the music video for 'LOVE BOMB' was directed by 'Digipedi,' a representative music video director in Korea, who once again teamed up with the group. It showcases fromis_9's surprising transformation into lovely "bomb girls" alongside eye-catching, vivid colors.
Furthermore, this single includes fromis_9's first-ever unit songs, 'DANCING QUEEN' and '물들어'. 'DANCING QUEEN,' featuring members Lee Saerom, Jang Gyuri, Roh Jisun, Lee Chaeyoung, and Baek Gihun, is an upbeat medium-tempo dance song. '물들어' (Colored), featuring members Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Seoryeon, and Lee Nagyung, is a lovely song depicting the process of gradually becoming colored by a loved one, with member Seoryeon participating in the lyrics to enhance the song's quality. In addition, the single features 'DKDK' and '22nd Century Girl' from the second mini-album released in June, re-recorded with the voices of all nine girls. Through a diverse range of tracks from group songs to unit songs, the album fully expresses fromis_9's broadened musical sensibility.
Returning as 'Phytoncide-dols' who provide refreshing healing just by looking at them and always showing surprising growth, fromis_9 will once again prove their skills and endless potential through this special single [LOVE BOMB].
