It attempts a change to an upgraded version by adding bolder expressiveness to NU’EST’s signature sophisticated yet restrained performance. Rather than being limited to a single fragmentary story, it richly captures the ‘various nights’ of people spending their nights in different ways, expressed through NU’EST’s diverse colors. The first track, ‘Moon Dance,’ is an Urban R&B song with jazz elements and vocal harmonies highlighting sweet tones, featuring a romantic mood where they invite a lover to dance together under the moonlight. The second track is the title song ‘I’m in Trouble,’ an R&B POP song expressing the moment of falling for each other through intense attraction. The third track, ‘Firework,’ compares the confusing yet fluttering unfamiliar emotions sparked by a loved one to ‘fireworks’ embroidering the night sky; it is a house-based POP song layered with R&B singing styles and melodies.
