Good
to see you! NINE to SIX, who will evoke everyone's empathy, debuts with [GOOD TO YOU].
DKZ's new unit, NINE to SIX, is a two-member unit consisting of Mingyu, who has powerful vocals, and Jonghyung, who has solid vocals. Having raised fans' expectations even before their debut, NINE to SIX steps before the public with diverse and personality-filled charms to repay those expectations.
What is MZ? To simply call them Millennials and Generation Z, there are too many stories and prejudices about the MZ generation wherever you go. On the surface, they may seem merely willful or individualistic, but through numerous options, they go through many worries and confidently speak their opinions honestly. Different from being rude, NINE to SIX aims to express these various stories of the MZ generation.
“After work, I just want more of my own time and a better life…”
The first message delivered by NINE to SIX wittily captures the joys and sorrows of MZ generation office workers who commute, just like their group name. From “Don’t Call Me,” which represents corporate life after arriving at work, to “Nod,” where they throw off the mask after work and meet their true selves, and “Digital Love,” which expresses the love of the MZ generation. MZ generation individuals are working hard in their own respective fields and are living a 'God-saeng' (exemplary/productive life) today to pursue a better life and better happiness.
The title track “Don’t Call Me” was worked on by Kim Seung-ho and Kim Dong-gyun, who composed and arranged Eric Nam's 'No shame' and HIKIK's 'Hello', along with the rookie Keb. The lyrics, which contain the joys and sorrows of MZ generation office workers, were collaborated on by Yuyeon and CLEF CREW, who worked on Kim Jae-hwan's 'Promise you', Miyeon's ((G)I-DLE) 'Rose', and XODIAC's 'Throw A DICE' and 'Calling'.
The choreography, which seems to long for freedom, works in harmony with MOTF to create an intense performance that you cannot take your eyes off of.
Starting with NINE to SIX's first greeting [GOOD TO YOU], we look forward to what stories they will deliver in the future.
