Lee Mu-jin The 1st Mini Album [Room Vol.1]
All-rounder singer-songwriter Lee Mu-jin, with his endless charm, has returned with his first mini-album [Room Vol.1].
This album, [Room Vol.1], is the first in the 'Room' series, using a 'studio apartment' (one-room) as a motif—the shape that best represents the stories he felt in life before becoming known as Lee Mu-jin, as well as the stories that followed. From his childhood and college entrance exams to his life after debut, he captures his autobiographical stories in five diverse self-composed tracks, unfilteredly showcasing his side as a complete artist.
In particular, the album features the title track 'Reference,' which boasts an addictive melody and expresses a candid and confident attitude of treating the numerous pressures and teachings from those around him as mere 'references.' Other tracks include 'Astronaut,' an acoustic jazz sound reflecting on how he has lost his innocence; 'Practice Room No. 8,' the starting space where he dreamed of becoming a musician; 'Greedy,' a song themed around hatred; and the final track 'Studio Apartment,' which bids farewell to precious memories from college. By wittily blending stories of daily life and experiences that anyone might have had into his own musical color, he evokes deep empathy and adds to the enjoyment of listening and watching.
He invites you to [Room Vol.1], a space where time flows and Lee Mu-jin honestly and calmly unfolds his own story.
