"TRICK OR HIKE?"
KQ Entertainment's first new group in five years, "xikers," has rung the doorbell of their debut with the debut album 'HOUSE OF TRICKY : Doorbell Ringing'.
“xikers” is a compound word combining the unknown variable 'x' and ‘hikers,’ capturing the powerful performance and the pleasant energy of ‘dynamic freshness’ that defines the identity of “xikers.”
In a database society where everyone is satisfied, believing it to be a utopia, ten boys who failed are set out to find their potential through an unknown ‘coordinate’ created together with ‘TRICKY,’ the icon of their universe. This creates anticipation for the ‘HOUSE OF TRICKY’ series that will be produced through the synergy between “xikers” and ‘TRICKY'.
xikers’ first mini-album [HOUSE OF TRICKY : Doorbell Ringing] will be newly released on April 27th in the square album ‘ROCK’ version.
What will we look like?
A world where the roadmap of each person's life is left to ‘data.’ Everything that happens in the future flows according to the ‘best scenario’ assigned to each individual through a database accumulated over a long period of time. An optimal scenario that considers not only the individual but also relativity regarding the direction and method of every being's life. A literal ‘utopia.’ The reason for the state's existence has vanished, and the world only consists of ‘boundaries’ divided by climate and environment. The world revolves around the data library located in the center of these ‘boundaries.’
Those who were not granted a designated scenario at the ‘boundary’ are referred to as ‘xikers,’ and their potential is marked with a failing ‘X.’ Alienated from the ‘boundary’—the order of the world—these children wander the world, welcomed nowhere. Unwelcome beings. They live feeling pain, sadness, loneliness, and injustice in a ‘utopia’ world that has defined them as failures. Why on earth were they not given a scenario coordinate? Were they born useless? Or was it some error in the data library? Regardless, as a result, they are treated as mutants and oddities, rejected by society, treated as if they do not exist, and live without belonging anywhere.
Just as they begin to grow accustomed to a life without coordinates, despite wanting one, the ‘xikers’ begin to dream.
A recurring dream where a voice says, “Do you want to know your coordinate? If you want to meet me even after you wake up, find TRICKY HOUSE.” One by one, the ‘xikers’ break free from the framework of the ‘boundary’ and set out to find ‘TRICKY’ in their dreams. The figure of ‘TRICKY,’ who moves freely through the ‘boundary’ and exists in any desired form by leaping across time and space, appears incredibly intriguing to the ‘xikers.’ Eventually, the ‘xikers’ who find TRICKY HOUSE create <“x”ikers + TRICK”Y” = their own ‘coordinate’> through their meeting with ‘TRICKY.’
Their ‘X’ is no longer recognized as a sign of ‘failure,’ but as an ‘X’ meaning undefined possibility—that is, ‘ever-changing potential.’ At TRICKY HOUSE, the ‘xikers’ create their own coordinates and embark on their own journey through their newly discovered potential, ‘X.’
