tripleS, the innovative idol group that showcased their brilliance as rookies by winning the Rookie of the Year award at the '2023 MAMA AWARDS' and the Rookie of the Year award at the '2023 Hanteo Music Awards,' has finally unveiled their full-group album featuring all 24 members. As the world's first fan-participatory group, tripleS has been building momentum by allowing fans to determine the member composition and title tracks through voting for each promotional period; now, after two years, they release an album with the full 24-member lineup. For this album, which carries the significance of all members gathering just once a year, everyone from the first member, Yoon Seo-yeon, to the 24th member, Ji-yeon, joined forces. For the first full-group debut album, fans cast a staggering 130,000 votes for 'Girls Never Die,' thereby determining tripleS's first full-group title track. The title track 'Girls Never Die' is a story about girls who rise again even after falling. In a time when people fear failure and have little tolerance for those who fall behind, the song sings about how valuable and wonderful an experience failure can be. The song consists of four stages of progression. The narrative of "Trial-Awareness-Overcoming-Us" expands from tripleS's own story to the stories of girls living in the present. A high-quality track was created through a collaboration between EL CAPITXN and Vendors, the producers behind tripleS's representative hits 'Generation' and 'Girls' Capitalism.' Furthermore, the majesty of a mega-girl group is visually expressed through a 24-member synchronized dance led by Choi Hyo-je, a choreographer known for his work with NCT and THE BOYZ. The music video naturally continues the story through the direction of an "under-mood film" that captures the daily lives of girls living in Seoul, following the lineage of 'Generation,' 'Rising,' and 'Girls' Capitalism.' True to their reputation for great intros, the album begins with 'S,' an intro track depicting a girl with special abilities. Following the title track 'Girls Never Die,' the song 'Within Sight' expands the emotional spectrum by expressing the fluttering excitement of the moment just before starting a relationship. 'Midnight Flower,' which features member Kim Na-kyung's first participation in songwriting, sings of a flower that blooms brilliantly only at midnight amidst the noise. Additionally, 'White Soul Sneakers' was written and composed with the participation of tripleS's producer member, Park So-hyun. It follows the previous work 'Black Soul Dress' through the theme of walking one's own path regardless of what others say. The album's only R&B track, 'Healing,' is a healing song with the theme that spring always follows winter, and warm days come after enduring the cold. '24' is a song gifted once again to tripleS by producer GDLO, who created their representative track 'Rising.' It captures the ambition of the moment when all twenty-four members have gathered. In particular, the lyrics express the narrative by connecting all of tripleS's worldviews like a word-chain game. 'The Other Side of the Other Side' is a unique track depicting a fantasy of entering a space in another world. Led by Modhaus producer BADD, it creates a mysterious atmosphere by mixing various genres to represent the subtle dimensions of falling into another world. 'Non Scale,' which received many recommendations from fans during the title track voting, follows a typical girl group music style. However, with 24 members gathered, it uses a balance of cute vocal characters to tell a story about a heart for someone that is so large it cannot be measured. 'Dimension,' which serves as a theme song for tripleS, has been newly arranged into a hip-hop style track to commemorate the 24-member full group version. From the first unit Acid Angel from Asia, the second unit +(KR)ystal Eyes, to LOVElution and EVOLution, Aria and NXT, and Glow—captivating fans with new colors at every step—all the possibilities of tripleS, a system where various girl groups exist within one team, have only just begun.
