idntt
A process of searching for the identity of an unfinished boy.
idntt finally takes its first step toward becoming a mega boy band.
Starting with *unevermet*, which captured the excitement of chance—living without knowing what might happen today—idntt reveals its second unit, *yesweare*, as promised, showcasing the process of *unevermet* and *yesweare* merging through a new album.
Within the grand system of idntt, the addition of *yesweare* reveals itself to the world without hesitation, not through questions about youth, but through the boldness of declaring, "We are youth itself."
The intro track ‘BOYS’ expresses the fleeting moment when boys with different personalities merge into a single voice. It opens with the powerful texture of the boys, layering Breakbeat rhythms over an intense electronic sound.
‘Yes We Are’ is a track featuring only the members of the new unit of the same name, *yesweare*. It tells a story of living day by day without losing oneself, even in moments of running toward an uncertain future where light may not yet be visible. Focusing on raw sound rather than refinement, it blends Crunk & B and House rhythms into the Industrial Dance genre, making it a track where the members' vocal groove is particularly charming.
The album's title track, ‘Pretty Boy Swag,’ is a track that showcases the charm of the mega boy band idntt, centered around a rhythmical bass and energetic rap. Asserting that there were no right answers among the things taught in the classroom, it refines idntt's own swag by emphasizing the "boytude" learned on the streets. The vocals lead the flow of the song, balancing firmness and softness, while a pop melody added to a hip-hop-based sound creates idntt's unique color.
‘Rage Problem’ captures the emotions of adolescence—confusing to the point of resembling intermittent explosive disorder—over a house electronica track. Both in the vocal track and the sound, efforts were made to leave it unrefined to capture the raw essence of the idntt members in this moment.
Closing the album, ‘Moon Burn’ tells the story of boys running toward their dreams, burning through the night and sweating through practice and effort. In the Jackin’ House genre, the harmony of the 15 members is beautifully expressed within a repetitive riff of synth bass sounds.
The second step in a journey of completing idntt, where 24 distinct identities gather.
We hope that while watching this, your own identity also becomes clearer.
