The beginning of the trilogy: the ‘Apocalypse’ spoken of by Dreamcatcher in a chaotic world.
‘Apocalypse : Save us’, a deep resonance from Dreamcatcher who dreams of a leap toward a better direction for everyone.
Dreamcatcher returns after approximately 9 months since the ‘Summer Holiday’ of the summer of 2021. Their second full-length album, ‘Apocalypse : Save us’, is another trilogy series following the ‘Dystopia’ of their previous full-length album, opening the gates to once again unfold Dreamcatcher's solid worldview.
A cry from the edge of crisis: Save us. And Save earth. A planet, Earth, that is gradually heating up red and being slowly consumed by gray air. The ice has vanished, and the water has risen. The green has faded, and the sand has bloomed. We already know who the culprit is that dried up our beautifully sparkling home. If we ignore this and the end of our karma approaches, the thing everyone fears will eventually happen. The title track ‘MAISON’, which warns of this, means ‘home’ in French; once again, Dreamcatcher approaches a realistic social issue. The rainforests shrinking due to global warming, melting glaciers, household waste drifting in the ocean, and deserts where microplastic sands accumulate. Dreamcatcher warns how the uncomfortable truths we ignored return to the foundation of our lives.
Returning with a rich composition, the second full-length album opens a new world while showcasing a further grown side of Dreamcatcher. This album is filled with songs decorated in Dreamcatcher's own colors, including the intro and title track ‘MAISON’, the punk rock-based ‘Locked Inside A Door’, the retro synth-pop ‘Starlight’, the deep house genre ‘Together’, and the ballad ‘Always’. Produced by composers LEEZ and Ollounder, who have together shaped Dreamcatcher's previous ‘Nightmare’ and ‘Dystopia’ worldviews, it provides satisfaction to the listener through a structured composition and high musicality. Furthermore, the members of Dreamcatcher, who have grown steadily since their debut, included their own self-composed songs in this full-length album, with all members showcasing their facets as singer-songwriters. One can glimpse the musicality of the Dreamcatcher members, who participated in composing and songwriting while bringing out their individual personalities and emotions.
A further grown Dreamcatcher facing new changes. This second full-length album, which showcases their future music and worldview, will serve as a solid foundation for the vast story of Dreamcatcher that will unfold hereafter.
