LEE JIN HYUK
1st SOLO ALBUM < S.O.L >
Lee Jin Hyuk's dazzling first leap as a soloist, ‘I Like That’
▶ ALBUM: Lee Jin Hyuk's < S.O.L >, hotter than the sun
"Baby Sun" Lee Jin Hyuk has returned as the Sun God.
Lee Jin Hyuk's first solo album < S.O.L >, marking his solo debut, is an album inspired by the Spanish word ‘sol,’ meaning sun. It incorporates the connection between the sun and Lee Jin Hyuk, who has been widely loved by the nickname "Baby Sun."
Consisting of two versions, ‘PURE’ and ‘GOLD,’ Lee Jin Hyuk delivers a twist by transforming from a pure boy who admires the sun into the Sun God.
In the ‘PURE’ version, a boy living carefree in nature while longing for the sun discovers the Sun God in a mirror found in the forest, and subsequently crosses over into the Sun God's realm through the mirror.
On the other hand, in ‘GOLD,’ the boy enters the realm of the Sun God and is revealed as a solo singer who has grown to be admired by many, just like the sun he once longed for. The story is completed by showing the world where the boy once was through the mirror that connected the boy and the Sun God, implying that the boy was the Sun God all along.
Furthermore, in this album consisting of three tracks, Lee Jin Hyuk participated in writing the lyrics for all three songs, including the title track ‘I Like That,’ capturing his own unique sensibility.
▶ TITLE: Not alone, but together ‘I Like That’
Lee Jin Hyuk's title track ‘I Like That’ is a charming song with an unpredictable progression and diverse composition, depicting Lee Jin Hyuk's life as a singer.
Through ‘I Like That,’ which captures his current self receiving love from many people, Lee Jin Hyuk tells those who cheer him on that they should fly together along the path he will walk, rather than walking alone.
Additionally, Lee Jin Hyuk, who signaled an attack on women's hearts with a powerful yet fluid performance of ‘I Like That,’ completed an intense performance that captures the eye with a dynamic composition that keeps him moving without rest throughout the song.
The visual enjoyment is enhanced with addictive point choreographies, such as the ‘Stair Dance,’ where he brings his arms together and moves forward at the start of the chorus, and the ‘Fly Fly Dance,’ where he lightly hops and moves sideways to the lyrics “fly fly.”
▶ PHOTO & MUSIC VIDEO: Two spaces, one story
Lee Jin Hyuk provided visual pleasure by radiating different charms through the ‘PURE’ version with a pure boy concept and the ‘GOLD’ version with a luxurious Sun God concept.
Moreover, the overall quality of the album was elevated as two completely different concepts were connected into one story through a mirror.
The mirror, serving as the link in the story, also appears in the ‘I Like That’ music video. The scene where a pure white Lee Jin Hyuk and a Lee Jin Hyuk under the glamorous spotlight confirm each other's existence through the mirror creates anticipation for the various sides of himself that Lee Jin Hyuk will showcase through this album < S.O.L >.
