Since their debut album, Billlie has maintained a distinctive path by structuring a mysterious story—about the day Billlie Love, who seemed to have always been with them, disappeared on the 11th when purple rain was falling—into two series: reality, and dreams and the unconscious. They have expressed this through various works of art and musical genres in every album. Fans have given the works created by Billlie the nickname 'Billlieverse' (Billlie + Universe), and together, Billlie has established a differentiated and unrivaled domain in the K-POP scene. Their second mini album, released last year, ranked high on numerous global charts, and the title track 'GingaMingaYo (the strange world)' was selected as one of the 'Best K-POP Songs of 2022' by leading international media outlets including TIME, Billboard, NYLON, Teen Vogue, Apple Music, TIDAL, and Amazon Music in the US, NME in the UK, and The National in the UAE. The title track of the fourth mini album, 'EUNOIA,' continues the music and story of the 'Billlieverse' from the first to the fourth album, combining the music of producing team PixelWave and singer-songwriter YOUHA, who are collaborating with Billlie for the first time on this album, with lyrics by writer Le’mon, who has been connected since the debut album. Like previous works, all tracks in this album besides the title track share a single connected perspective, and a musical narrative that runs from the opening track to the final track creates a solid framework. A luxury lineup of writers, including Lee Woo-min "collapsedone," Justin Reinstein, minGtion, team GALACTIKA *, Cho Yoon-kyung, LLANO, and Geumto, maximized the overall quality of the album with music and narratives that only Billlie can express. Additionally, the music video for the title track and the visual story film for the sub-track 'enchanted night ~ 白夜' added sensory visual art under the direction of Director Kwak Doo-ri, and pop artist Regina Kim reconstructed the continuity of the story through sensory artwork following the previous work, once again completing Billlie's original visual art. The title track ‘EUNOIA’ is an alternative funk pop track that ties together elements of synth wave, disco, and G-funk with a 90’s old school hip hop vibe, completing it with a unique distinctiveness that only Billy can express. This track was completed by combining nu jazz and 80’s synth pop. Composer minGtion's sophisticated EP chord progression and voicing, along with the precise and elaborate chorus voicing that only Billy can produce, create a sound rarely encountered in K-POP. The synth lead solo in the latter half crosses between major and minor keys, creating an overwhelming outro on the path to the ending, completing the song to near perfection. Inspired by the physics concept of ‘moment of inertia,’ the precious and organic relationship between Belllie’ve and Billlie is expressed literarily.
