Goni Band born in Jeonju, the story they tell [Gosa-dong 238] At one time, I dreamed of following trends and creating a sophisticated and flawless sound, and focused on controlling the pace of the song and making detailed arrangements. But the essence cannot be hidden. Goni Band's music is different from the mainstream. Maybe it sounds a little old-fashioned. No, to be honest, it’s ‘old.’ For a while, I was embarrassed by that fact and tried to ignore it. But in the end, I had no choice but to accept it. The color we have is in that ‘oldness’. When I acknowledged myself, my heart felt lighter. By reducing and emptying out, we were finally able to find our own color, and in the process, we were able to grow one step further. [Gosa-dong 238], which was created in this way, talks about our essence, our birth, and the countless emotions that bloom within it. It captures in a minimalist and simple way the process of going through the numerous emotions that begin with ‘I’. Because it is not hidden or decorated, the music is simple yet bold, delicate yet honest. Beat and pitch corrections were minimized, and techniques such as doubling were excluded. Instead, it captures the warmth of people. The sound, stripped of all decoration, is plain, and that plainness comes with a deep sense of comfort. [Gosa-dong 238] is the most honest side that the current Goni Band can show.
