This new album follows the mini-album ‘CRE: 㘉’ released by Krezel after his debut, and he plans to resume his activities with a new album in 2025. It is filled with a total of 3 songs, including the title songs ‘HAKUNA MATATA’ and ‘望又歌’, and the digital single ‘Faded Letter’ released in October of last year.
In particular, this album is highly anticipated by fans even before its release, as the members of Krezel directly wrote and composed the album, and it was also produced by music director Kwon Tae-eun, a master of crossover music.
The title song ‘HAKUNA MATATA’ was produced and written by member Cho Jin-ho himself, creating an upgraded crossover song. As the title suggests, this song means ‘no problem’ and ‘get rid of all your worries’, and is intended to encourage those who are tired of the busy modern society to enjoy life together and move forward confidently. The unique combination of trendy reggaetonic sounds and Korean traditional music sounds such as classical music and samulnori haegeum reveals the essence of music that only Krezel can do.
The second song, ‘Manguga (望又歌)’, is a song filled with longing and resentment for a love that cannot come true. This song, based on a poem by Imje, has impressive lyrics that make us think once again about love and the nature of humans. This song was written and composed by music director Kwon Tae-eun and singer Kim Soo-in, who have consistently created Korean traditional music/classical crossover songs such as Monggeumpo Taryeong and Sangju Arirang. It is considered to be the song that contains the most Korean-style Korean sentiment among the Korean traditional music crossover songs released so far. In particular, Krezel's chorus in the second half leaves a deep impression on the listener.
The last song, 'Faded Letter', is a song that expresses accepting the breakup by resigning to the current situation, which is already too late, although after a long time, he takes out a letter containing memories of his ex-lover and sees that the letter, which was full of expressions of love, has suddenly changed to words of sorry. This song was written and composed by Crezzle member Lee Seung-min.
Meanwhile, CREZL, made up of idol Cho Jin-ho, musical actor Lim Gyu-hyung, singer Kim Soo-in, and vocalist Lee Seung-min, is a name created by combining the words 'creative' (creative) and 'joule' (joyful). It is a group of 4 people with different and colorful charms that show off a variety of genres of music without limits.
