NEWBEAT 1ST FULL ALBUM [RAW AND RAD]. NEWBEAT releases their first full-length album [RAW AND RAD] simultaneously with their debut. The album features a total of 11 tracks, including the pre-released 'JeLLo', 'HICCUPS', the title track 'Flip the Coin', and 'Highs&Lows(Hi&Love)', which can only be heard on the CD. The title track 'Flip the Coin' is an authentic 90s old-school track that begins with a dark, low-pitched contrabass, leaving an impression with its various sampling sounds, groovy yet powerful drums, and an addictive hook melody. "EVERYTHING HAS DUALITY JUST LIKE ME." 'Flip the Coin' tells the story of the duality of the world—how the good and the bad coexist like two sides of a coin—from the perspective of boys. It captures their inner selves and the duality of the world through a story; by continuously experiencing positive situations that can be found when flipping over every negative experience, temptation, and wound, they reflect on life once more and move forward. The Intro and Outro of the full album were produced by Maalib, who guided the atmosphere of the songs. In particular, track 1, 'Intro: RAW AND RAD (feat. Khundi Panda)(Prod. Maalib)', delivers high-quality sound through Maalib's production and a rap feature by Khundi Panda. For track 7, 'F.L.Y (Fu**ing Lovely, Lonely Youth)(Prod. LIMHYUNSIK)', BTOB's Lim Hyunsik personally handled the lyrics, composition, and recording direction, completing the song's emotional depth.
