Following the IDENTITY series, which captured their growth and identity, WEi has returned with the Love series, singing about the emotions of youth! The first album to signal the start of the Love series, [Love Pt.1 : First Love], consists of a total of 6 tracks and contains the stories of youth experiencing their first love. [Love Pt.1 : First Love] The first theme of WEi's ‘Love Series’ is ‘the clumsiness of first love.’ It contains the stories of six young men who are clumsy in expressing their love, sometimes hurting others or appearing naive. It depicts the moment when the unrefined, jagged hearts of youth who knew nothing of love are tamed by someone, realizing true love and gradually being shaped into something beautiful. The tracks are composed like a youth movie, where they hurt each other due to the awkwardness of first love, but eventually become one through trust and love that grows stronger as they resolve their misunderstandings. The title track "Too Bad" captures the shy emotion of wanting to confidently confess to someone they like, but being unable to do so. It shows an awkward side, trying hard to explain that it is a good day to confess with excuses like 'just because the sky is pretty' or 'because the flowers happen to look like you.' With an addictive hook melody layered over a charming bass line and exciting guitar riffs, the song further portrays WEi's fluttering hearts. It is a song that well expresses the feeling that everything looks beautiful when you fall in love and the nervousness felt in front of the person you love. In particular, member Jang Daehyun participated in the rap-making of the title track "Too Bad," raising expectations, and fully revealed his side as a producer by participating in the composition and lyrics of the B-side track "BLOSSOM." 1.
