SKINZ The 1st Mini Album [SKINZ IS SKINZ]
"SKINZ returns with their first mini-album 'SKINZ IS SKINZ.' A new release that is SKINZ itself, depicting a rough yet honest youth."
‘New Wave Virtual Idol’ SKINZ further clarifies the musical identity of the team through their first mini-album [SKINZ IS SKINZ]. Emerging by breaking the boundaries between virtuality and reality, SKINZ is a next-generation artist creating a new flow in K-pop through music, a unique worldview, and communication with fans, moving beyond the simple concept of a virtual idol. SKINZ is a virtual idol group consisting of seven members—Dobin, Dael, Teo, Finn, Jaeon, Kwon Irang, and Yul—and is a talented group where all members are capable of songwriting, composing, and producing. Based on the members' creative capabilities, they are building their own music and worldview, expanding their presence and creating a new trend in the global K-pop market.
Having made a powerful debut with their first single ‘YOUNG & LOUD,’ SKINZ left a strong impression by capturing the energy of free youth and a rebellious attitude in their music. After expanding their own narrative and worldview through various content and performances, SKINZ now opens the next chapter of the story they have built through this first mini-album.
This album is a work that captures SKINZ's attitude of moving forward in their own way, even amidst external gazes and the noise of society. Based on the raw, honest emotions of youth and free energy, they have expanded their musical color and worldview more three-dimensionally through sounds and performances of various genres. In particular, the keyword ‘WILDCORE,’ which penetrates SKINZ's musical world, symbolizes freedom, rebellion, and raw youthful energy, leading to a powerful message throughout this album. Rather than fitting into the standards or expectations of others, SKINZ intends to build their own identity of choosing and following their own path, unfolding it through music and narrative.
The double title tracks representing this album, 'Poison Ivy' and 'WHY U MAD,' approach listeners with different charms. 'WHY U MAD,' released as a pre-release, garnered attention for its high technical quality by showcasing a mega-crew performance in a music video for the first time for a virtual idol, and served as a catalyst to amplify expectations for the album by showing the intense energy of SKINZ's 'WILDCORE' itself. The other title track, 'Poison Ivy,' is a work heavily imbued with SKINZ's dystopian worldview, providing visual satisfaction by combining music that captures softness within a rough charm with sensory aesthetic elements.
The first mini-album [SKINZ IS SKINZ] is, as the name suggests, an album that most honestly captures the present of SKINZ. Moving forward in a bold, sincere manner and without being bound by anyone's standards, SKINZ further expands their identity and potential through this album, announcing another leap forward as virtual artists of a new era. 01.

‘YOUNG & LOUD’ is an alternative rock genre that combines elements of punk and hip-hop, leaving a deep impression with its intense distortion guitar sound. The repeating chorus, “Young and loud Never gonna bow. We’re the future. We’re the now,” powerfully captures the boldness of youth, a resistant attitude against oppression, self-confidence, and hesitant-free energy. Like a declaration from SKINZ to raise their own voices against the standards of the world, this track signals the starting point of youth flying fearlessly, capturing the moment of youth shining most brightly right now amidst raw and linear energy.

Arranged by EL CAPITXN, Vendors (Abim)
The title track ‘Poison Ivy’ is a song that symbolically unravels the emotion of falling into a fatal charm and being unable to escape through a sweet but dangerous partner. It captures the tension of an addictive relationship that one falls into despite knowing better throughout the music, and the sound, where a dreamy atmosphere and intense beats intersect, delicately reflects the precarious balance of emotions. The refined piano line and heavy bass further clarify the texture of an addictive and heavy love, expressing the addictiveness of emotions that cannot be stopped, like a seed of love that has already sprouted, and a deep emotional line that cannot be easily severed. In the performance, choreography symbolizing vines appears impressively, visually completing the addictively spreading emotions, as the title ‘Poison Ivy’ suggests, through movements that intersect as if entwining each other.
03. WHY U MAD (TITLE)

The pre-released double title track ‘WHY U MAD’ is based on a hip-hop sound that puts a heavy bass line at the forefront. It is a song that projects the firm inner self of ‘SKINZ,’ who does not lose their own tempo even amidst external noise, while precisely maintaining the balance between a relaxed groove and tight rapping.
The narrative, which unfolds boldly over a sophisticated beat, captures an attitude of moving forward while maintaining one's own rhythm, creating a dense energy as the rhythm and flow interlock organically. In particular, following the declaration of 'YOUNG & LOUD,' this track more directly reveals SKINZ's resolve to push forward unshaken by ridicule and prejudice, intensely conveying the rebellion and confidence of youth through an aggressive sound and a straightforward message.
04. Glitch: 99 Degrees
Composed by EL CAPITXN, Vendors (ZENUR), SKINZ
Lyrics by SKINZ
Arranged by EL CAPITXN, Vendors (ZENUR)
'Glitch: 99 Degrees' is a song that captures the pleasure of breaking limits and racing forward as intense energy and futuristic sounds collide. The heavy, resonating beat, fast-paced progression, and the addictiveness created by the repeating hook immediately heighten the sense of immersion, embodying the identity of 'SKINZ' as they push forward relentlessly, as if suppressed emotions and energy on the verge of explosion have reached a critical point. The 'Glitch' in the title signifies the flaws and instabilities of an imperfect youth, but SKINZ accepts even those errors as part of their growth, expressing a burning passion just before exploding from a critical 99 degrees to 100 degrees.
05. 25.14
Composed by EL CAPITXN, SKINZ
Lyrics by SKINZ
Arranged by EL CAPITXN
'25.14' is a song that delicately unravels the traces of emotion remaining in the heart even across unreachable times, expressing a presence that seems to have vanished but cannot be erased through the image of 'a single dot in the world.' Through the message “(2) In this world, (5) only you (1) alone (4) I love,” it calmly conveys an unchanging heart toward a single existence—the fans—and the voice of 'SKINZ' spreading over a soft and cautious piano melody sincerely captures a confession that could not be delivered in time. It is a song containing gratitude and promises to the fans who have been together since before their debut, deeply depicting the lingering resonance of emotions that do not disappear despite the limits of physical time and distance.
