Cosmic Girl's Romance Fantasy
Cosmic Girls are pure and mysterious, providing a more attractive fantasy. The moment you fall in love, it's a new music that makes you more excited because it's desperate and more curious because it's an unknown feeling. It is enough to stimulate curiosity by embodying images of love for purity and mystery, and something beyond strange imagination, through music, performance, and video. It's a girls' romantic fantasy where everything you want comes true.
Cosmic Girls' lyrical yet mysterious image and emotional stimulating primal charm are still valid. The role of the members coming together while protecting their respective areas is also excellent. In addition, expectations were raised by the twist in the included songs that foreshadowed musical changes.
The title song ‘As You Wish’ is a song that represents the honest feelings of a girl about to confess, and the dreamy vocal line and chorus melody that seems to be reciting a spell are impressive. In particular, along with the sensuous synth line and increasingly heightened composition of the song, this track also clearly shows the strength of the vocals of the WJSN members, who express their emotions honestly and sometimes calmly.
The image of a mysterious and delicate girl became more concrete through the video. All elements in the music video captured each and every emotion of the girls in detail. The complex and subtle starting point of love is depicted by looking at the moon in the sky, the wish communication center that exists in the moon, and the settings of the members who appear on the day of the super moon are elements that allow you to fully enjoy the charm of Cosmic Girls by watching, listening, and enjoying. Wishing cats, fireworks, sky lanterns, cable cars, etc. have newtro colors and blend in with the members' characters assigned to them in the video.
The album as a whole flexibly alternates between WJSN's natural colors and unconventional transformation. The 7 tracks, which go back and forth between lyricism and trendy genres, created a much more sophisticated look while maintaining the unique lyrical emotion that WJSN has delivered so far. Starting with the title song ‘Iruri’ (As You Wish), which represents the album, the album continues to draw connections with various genres. ‘Luckitty-cat’, which stands out for its well-structured composition based on the UK Garage genre, delivers a unique charm with the motif of a cat’s repayment, and ‘BADABOOM’, a Moombahton-style hip-hop track, is impressive with the girl-crush style that WJSN shows for the first time.
In addition, 'LIGHTS UP', a warm waltz song reminiscent of a scene from a fairy tale, conveys the pure image of Cosmic Girls, 'WW', which is an appropriate mix of disco and EDM, 'Full Moon', an electronic dance song in which member Dawon participated in the composition, and 'Don't Touch', in which Exy participated in writing and composing the lyrics, gives a sophisticated and sensuous charm. All the songs are appropriately balanced and lead to a dramatic time.
The seven songs containing the fantasy of love stimulate emotions with a faint yet sophisticated atmosphere. In this album, Exy expanded the scope of his activities by participating in both lyrics and composition, and Dawon also presented his second self-composed song with composer Shin Kung, following his previous work ‘Space Station’. In addition, famous domestic hitmakers such as KZ, Full8loom, Keygen, Jeong Ho-hyun (e.one), and Choi Hyun-jun did not miss the direction of combining various genres appropriately and connecting WJSN's lyricism with trends.
Cosmic Girls have built their own world through fantasy settings. Each member's character was created with a coherent yet carefully combined story, which symbolizes the team color representing WJSN. The pure and mysterious image radiates strong yet impressive energy. Cosmic Girls announced the next step, expanding into another completed story.
