Billlie the second mini album [the collective soul and unconscious: chapter one] As Mystic Story's first girl group, Billlie—equipped with a distinct story and proven skills—made a successful debut last year with the mini album [the Billage of perception : chapter one], a series capturing daily life viewed through Billlie's own unique perspective in reality. In the subsequent single album [the collective soul and unconscious: snowy night], they established Billlie's own multi-verse as a prequel to the series, capturing phenomena felt in the world of dreams and the unconscious, thereby foreshadowing the beginning of the story. "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” The second mini album [the collective soul and unconscious: chapter one] also contains the solid worldview story that Billlie has presented thus far. Various worries and stories we experience in reality are expressed narratively through the medium of dreams; all content and messages—including music, lyrics, visuals, art, and style—are meticulously and cohesively connected into a single story, creating a unique narrative where reality coexists with mystery and fantasy. This album, which has increased in completeness so that listeners who enjoy various genres of music as well as K-POP can find more pleasure in listening, reveals Billlie's musical confidence. The title track ‘GingaMingaYo (the strange world),’ an intense electro-pop genre produced by Producer Shin Hyuk, contains the questions and emotions one asks oneself during the process of becoming an adult. The B-side tracks, completed with the participation of top domestic and international K-POP producers such as minGtion, Mayu Wakisaka, Lee Woo-min “collapsedone,” and Justin Reinstein, maintain a strong extension from the previous work and strengthen Billlie's unique genre color that could not be felt in existing K-pop. Furthermore, the performance art, directed by choreographer Lia Kim of 1MILLION Dance Studio, completes Billlie's unrivaled musical expression. “The life I live is a continuation of the past that has passed and yesterday, like the sun. Tomorrow and the future are a continuation of anxiety and questions I haven't encountered, like the moon. Right now, it doesn't flow but draws a large circle and spins around. Like the Earth…” Through this album, Billlie announces the beginning of a journey to complete two divided narratives, [the Billage of perception] and [the collective soul and unconscious], in parallel. Through this series, they express the reality surrounding us—which coexists and intersects with the previous work—and episodes from dreams and the unconscious through Billlie's unique mise-en-scène.
