Jisoo's second solo album “AMORTAGE” is out!
Featuring a total of 4 songs in English and Korean, including the title track 'earthquake'!
Jisoo, who colored the world with the Flower Challenge fever through her previous album “ME,” has returned with her second solo album “AMORTAGE,” showcasing an even deeper sensibility and charm.
This album is the first solo project Jisoo has presented since becoming independent, and with two English songs and two Korean songs included, it is expected to draw an enthusiastic response from fans worldwide.
The album title "AMORTAGE" is a compound word combining ‘AMOR,’ meaning love in Spanish, and ‘MONTAGE,’ a cinematic technique of stitching together various scenes to convey meaning. It symbolizes an album where fragments of love gather to complete a single story.
Just as a movie character grows through the process of love and breakup, growth and healing, it captures Jisoo's story as an artist changing and evolving through her past journey.
From 'earthquake,' which expresses the excitement felt at the beginning of love and intense emotions toward a partner; to 'Your Love,' which contains the happy emotions felt as love deepens; 'TEARS,' which sings about trying to appear bright while hiding the sadness of a breakup; and finally 'Hugs & Kisses,' which depicts the sense of liberation and the freedom of finding one's true self after a breakup.
From the flutter of falling in love to the sadness and liberation after a breakup, every song contains a narrative about love, providing a feeling as if one has watched a romance movie, unfolding the journey of love through different emotions.
In this way, Jisoo's "AMORTAGE," which expresses the complex yet beautiful emotions that anyone feels while experiencing the beginning and end of love, sheds light on the theme of love in a new way—like a captivating romantic movie that you cannot take your eyes off from the start until the ending credits—delivering thrills and emotion to the listeners.
